I went to Bintan for a retreat on saturday, and i came back on sunday. man was it great! seriously, i enjoyed myself... it was my first time there and definitely it will not be my last! i mean, the water is clear enough to look at the fish swimming next to feet! man! it was a great break before my exams, yes the irony, but hey, im all charged up for the exams.. i think i shall do this more often, take a holiday before my exams so i will do well for my exams which in turn will reward me with another holiday. muahahaha... me and my devious plans. heh, but it worked this time round, im so pumped up for tommorrow's paper man.. i so want it to be over and done with... so anyway, back to my bintan story, we took the ferry from tanah merah ferry terminal... heres some pics, though i didnt take picture of everything cos i didnt bring my fone wherever i went, i should have, cos the biggest regret is to take the picture of the beach. which is like, super awesome man, seriously. it really takes your breath away, i mean, its not THAT fantastic, but its really awesome compared to east coast park. hahaha...
heres at tanah merah ferry terminal, the buggers boarding the ferry.. after this right, there was this, i think it was this japanese woman. yeah, she looks kinda japanese, either that or korean. ah whichever lar. anyway, she was quite giddy when her ferry, like arrived, then she went down to the platform, and she was so giddy, she was like drunk la, it was so so so funny, i regret a taking a video of her, seriously, hahaha, i cant stop laughing even thinking about it now. haha, it was really hilarious man. she like drunk, then she held on to the baggage carrier and she was holding her head. hahaha. then her legs all like jelly like that. lol! ok i shall stop laughing at other people. lol!

this is was some random thingy, i dunno what it was doing there and what it symbalises. all i know its a giant eagle and it looks nice. so i took it anyway, this was when we were in the bus going to the resort
if you thought the eagle was strage, i saw this along the way too...

upon arrival, there was welcoming party to bring us in... it was really warm and there were dancers and musicians playing traditional instruments. then they gave us ice towels and orange juice, abit of vodka would be nice in it but owell, its ok... then we dumped our bags at one side and then we had lunch at the one of the resort's restaurants. it was buffet, and wow, the food was great lar. the steak was abit too cooked, but the taste was great. the lamb was awesome too... then there was like, really alot of food ar, just kept eating and eating and eating... then after that we checked into our rooms...

after checking in our rooms, we had to go for a seminar and SM Goh was the GOH for the retreat lar actually, so ya. he was there too... and then after that we went to play games, organised by my yec, so ya. it started to drizzle but we still continued to play. haha... and i really respect SM.. cos he really noes how to have fun...
and then after the games, it was water games mind u, so we all had showers and then the rest of them took a bus to the kelong for dinner, but as usual, i was late, and so were a few others, so we took a buggy there. hahaha. it was so fun...

this is my crab king... hahaha... cant really see la, but i used peices of crab and scallop to make the face...
oh and dinner was great. we had like, real lobster salad, erm, sharkfin's soup, oh and then some other stuff, abalone and black pepper crab...and stuff... something like that. yeah.. it was ok lar, though the portions weren't really exactly what u call alot lar, but it made me contented...
the night sky was simply simply awesome. if i had a better cam rite, u would see the moon surrounded by patches and patches of clouds with holes in between them, it was really fantastic, i stood there and just stared at it like for many mins... hahaha.. wow, really breath taking. i wish i could take the pic properly but i was just too dark for my cam. well i saw this on the way to the beach club/bar/disco kinda thing... its all outdoors, which is pretty cool... and like, they were playing house music and stuff.. ok lar, pretty nice place to just dance and drink and chill out. oh and they serve awesome thin crust pizza.. so yeah, we ordered a couple of drinks... and then danced abit, and then i was abit freaked by the gays, but nvm, i drove em away.. haha... then we went back to the resort and we opened our own drinks we bought at singapore's duty free.. we had white wine, vodka and beer... hahaha, slowly everyone started falling aslp and it was funny seeing em like that... haha, in the end i finished all their drinks, well, almost all the vodka and left one more beer. we bought six bottles of beer. haha, and i still wasnt drunk man, i just wanna try to get drunk at least once, to know how sucky it feels. haha.. but i tried, didnt work.. the rest were pretty kinda out. hahaha! owell, i shall not laugh at them... and then i slpt about 4 plus... mind u i was studying all the while i was drinking... haha..
woke up in the morning to the sound of my stupid alarm, which i set la, womanizer somemore. haha. about 8 like that... then we headed down to breakfast. it was an ok spread. the rendang was awesome. and they had like chefs to cook whatever kind off u want. and i got lucky, cos this egg has twins... its not two eggs, its just one egg with two yolks. lol
after breakfast we went down to the pool, which i didnt bring my cam so i don't have all the photos yet. my chairman had a waterproof cam so we took under water pics and stuff. which was really cool, and the pool was an infinity pool which was really nice to take pictures... haha, not to mention the hot babes there, but owell, lets not get there. hahaha.. anyway, there was a pool bar there but then we rmbed we still had vodka so we brought it down and drank at the pool. hahaha. it was cool man, really.. i really should have brought my cam, take pic of the beach. it was totally awesome awesome awesome. there was this tiny island thingy in the middle of nowwhere with like weird rock formations on it. haha..
well after that we went to lunch at the restaurant but decided it was just too long for us to wait so we just took photo and left. hahaha
oh there was this giant chess set downstairs, next to the restaurant, its so cool lar
then we went on the shuttle bus to the food court thingy to have lunch and it brought us for a mini tour and we saw elephants. i think it was for the elephant rides. im not too sure..
and also there was ponys there, for the pony rides...
then after lunch, we had phototaking with the whole group at the main enterance of the resort. heres a pic with the yec members who went with SM Goh

and then when we reached singapore waters, there was a coast guard which gave us an escort all the way back to the terminal.. well usually they don't la, but cos SM was with us, they needed to, haha, his really a nice man, haha, very friendly and stuff.
so ya, that was pretty much my trip... i hope i didnt miss out anything.... and i really had fun... i really hope to go back there someday... gotta save up though, it aint that cheap... well... thats about it... thats how i spent my weekend...
